  • The Deutsche Bahn RE55 regional express, carrying about 100 passengers from Sigmaringen to Ulm, derailed near Zwiefaltendorf at approximately 6:10 PM Sunday.
  • Two carriages left the tracks and one flipped onto its side, forcing rescue teams to saw through metal to reach trapped passengers.
  • Authorities have confirmed at least three fatalities and say dozens more were injured, with many still being treated at the scene.
