Regen Central Goes Bust With All Holidays Canceled

The regulator says the firm had no ATOL-protected bookings, leaving customers with little chance of refunds.

Overview

  • The Civil Aviation Authority said Thursday there were no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings under Regen Central, so refunds will not be paid.
  • The Hertfordshire operator lost its ATOL on January 13, then entered liquidation, according to Companies House records.
  • ATOL is a UK protection scheme for package holidays that can refund or bring you home if a travel firm fails, but it does not cover accommodation-only deals or most flight-only tickets once issued.
  • Customers who think they had an ATOL-protected booking can email claims@caa.co.uk, though the regulator warns refund eligibility is unlikely.
  • Regen Central traded as One Haji, Umrah, Regen Travels and Oneworld Travels with trips to Italy, Bali, Thailand and the Middle East, and the CAA notes other UK travel firms have also ceased trading over the past year.
