Reflector Entertainment has announced layoffs following the poor performance of its debut game, 'Unknown 9: Awakening.'
The game, released in October 2024, received mixed reviews and failed to meet commercial expectations, halting plans for its transmedia universe.
A planned future project in the conceptual phase has been canceled as the studio deems it unsustainable to continue development.
Reflector will now focus on a single project based on an existing Bandai Namco intellectual property, reallocating some staff to this effort.
Affected employees will receive severance packages, extended health benefits, and career support, according to CEO Herve Hoerdt.
