Gold Crown Foundation suspends officials involved, police investigation underway

Three referees at a youth basketball game in Colorado were caught on video fighting on the court during a game between fourth-grade boys.
The incident, which took place at the Gold Crown Field House in Lakewood, Colorado, has gone viral on social media.
The referees involved in the brawl have been suspended indefinitely by the Gold Crown Foundation, which hosted the tournament.
The Gold Crown Foundation issued an apology, particularly to the children who had to witness the incident, and stated that they have zero tolerance for any adult behavior that puts the kids’ experience or safety at risk.
Lakewood police are aware of the incident and are currently investigating, but no arrests have been made as the involved parties had already left the gym by the time they arrived.
