Reds' TJ Friedl Returns to Injured List with Fractured Thumb

Cincinnati outfielder faces another setback after missing early season games with wrist injury.

Friedl was hit by a pitch in Sunday's game against the Giants, resulting in a thumb fracture.
He will be out for four to five weeks, according to Reds manager David Bell.
Friedl had just returned from a fractured right wrist that sidelined him for the season's start.
Jacob Hurtubise has been called up from Triple-A to replace Friedl on the roster.
