  • X-rays on Greene's leg were negative. Greene was hit by a ground ball with a 97 mph exit velocity from Tampa Bay's Yandy Diaz in the top of the third inning.
  • Despite wanting to finish the inning, Greene was examined by the manager and athletic trainer before throwing several warmup pitches and ultimately being removed from the game.
  • The Reds went on to win the game 8-1 over the AL East-leading Rays with reliever Ian Gibaut getting the decision for Cincinnati.
