  • On May 31 a technical glitch at Reddy Express sites nationwide caused EFTPOS errors that led some cards to be charged up to 134 times for a single purchase.
  • One motorist, Steve, saw a $106 petrol fill-up balloon into $14,200 in duplicate charges before contacting the company.
  • Customers are urged to review their bank statements and contact Reddy Express customer service to initiate refund claims.
  • Refund reversals began on June 3 with most refunds due within two to seven days and expedited processing offered for those under financial hardship.
  • Reddy Express was rebranded from Coles Express after its 2023 acquisition by Viva Energy Group and operates under a Shell licence through 2029.
