Overview

• On November 11, 2024, Christopher Hemming attacked his ex-partner Cheryl Mckenna in the bedroom of their Redditch home, inflicting fatal stab wounds.
• He used Mckenna’s phone to boast to a friend and five minutes later calmly told a 999 operator, “I’ve killed my ex-partner.”
• Hemming initially pleaded guilty to manslaughter and not guilty to murder before changing his plea to guilty of murder on July 18.
