Reddit Pressures Moderators to End Protest or Risk Losing Control of Communities

Reddit is threatening moderators to reopen their communities after many went dark in protest of upcoming API changes and policy enforcement.
More than 2,500 subreddits have remained closed well beyond the initial protest period, angering Reddit management.
Reddit CEO Steve Huffman warned employees not to publicly support the protests and threatened to replace moderators who don't reopen their communities.
Some moderators view Reddit's actions as intimidating but have reopened with rule changes,concerned about losing control of their communities.
