RedBird IMI, Led by Jeff Zucker, Invests in 'Morning Show' Producer Media Res

Zucker to join Media Res board as firm plans to expand scripted, unscripted and film divisions with new investment.

RedBird IMI, the media investment firm led by former CNN chief Jeff Zucker, has invested in Media Res, the studio behind Apple TV+'s hit series 'The Morning Show'.
Media Res plans to use the investment to expand its scripted business in the U.S. and abroad, and to grow its unscripted and film divisions.
Jeff Zucker will join the board of Media Res as part of the deal.
This is the first investment by RedBird IMI into scripted entertainment.
Media Res' current slate includes the second season of the Apple TV+ series 'Pachinko', absurdist comedy 'I'm a Virgo' on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+ climate change series 'Extrapolations', and 'Scenes from a Marriage' for HBO.
