Red Sox Sign Patrick Sandoval to Two-Year Contract

Patrick Sandoval, a former Los Angeles Angels pitcher, has signed a two-year deal with the Boston Red Sox worth $18.25 million, according to ESPN.
The 28-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2024 after tearing his UCL during a game against the Dodgers.
Sandoval is expected to miss at least a year, with a potential return in the second half of the 2025 season or the start of 2026.
He was non-tendered by the Angels after a challenging 2024 season, where he posted a 2-8 record with a 5.08 ERA in 16 starts.
Sandoval’s standout season came in 2022, when he achieved a 2.91 ERA and struck out 151 batters over 148 2/3 innings.
