Red Lobster Launches $15.99 ‘SpendLESS Shrimp,’ Adds Seafood Boils to Permanent Menu

The move follows the costly bottomless shrimp era that helped push the chain into Chapter 11 in 2024.

Overview

  • Announced Sept. 8, the limited-time SpendLESS Shrimp offers a single plate featuring Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo and Popcorn Shrimp for $15.99.
  • CEO Damola Adamolekun framed the offer as a smarter, sustainable value play, saying, “It may not be endless, but you’ll definitely spend less.”
  • The prior Endless Shrimp promotion generated about $11 million in losses and was cited in bankruptcy filings, with leaders describing long table times and staff strain.
  • Seafood Boils introduced this summer are now a permanent menu item, available as Mariner’s Boil or Sailor’s Boil with a choice of butter or Old Bay seasoning.
  • Red Lobster also unveiled a fall cocktail trio—the Caramel Dream, Apple Harvest Punch and Gold Rush—as part of its measured post-bankruptcy relaunch under new leadership.
