Overview

• At about 11:30 p.m. on August 15, a black sedan collided with a red SUV making a left turn on Lower Wacker Drive between Clark and Dearborn Streets, prompting road closures for investigation.
• Authorities said the sedan’s 19-year-old male driver disobeyed a red light, causing the crash.
• A 19-year-old female passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital and the sedan driver was hospitalized in fair condition.
