Red Bull Reveals Final Adrian Newey-Conceived RB17 Hypercar

Track testing is expected this summer with customer deliveries targeted for 2027.

Overview

  • The RB17 pairs a Cosworth-built 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V10 revving to 15,000 rpm with an electric motor for a combined output of roughly 1,200 hp.
  • Finalized exterior adds hockey-stick LED headlights, functional mirrors, a windshield wiper, and a prominent engine-cover fin, with the exhaust relocated to the spine as a late change.
  • Built as a track-only two-seater with an F1-sized footprint, the car is being engineered to Le Mans prototype crash standards.
  • Production is capped at 50 bespoke cars priced around £5 million (about $6.7 million), bundled with simulator access, program development, and on-track training.
  • Adrian Newey conceived the project and continues to consult following his move to Aston Martin, according to Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
