Overview
- Broadway Cares reported $7,344,304 raised in its fall Red Bucket campaign, the highest total for any of its fundraising seasons.
- The total was announced at the Dec. 9 Red Bucket Follies at the New Amsterdam Theatre following six weeks of post-show audience donations.
- Fifty-five Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring productions participated in the appeal across New York and the road.
- Top fundraisers were Hamilton ($564,393), Just In Time ($491,236) and Waiting for Godot ($430,790), with category leaders also recognized across Off-Broadway and tours.
- Special guests Kristin Chenoweth, Tom Felton and Jane Krakowski announced the total, and the result builds on 34 fall editions that have raised over $111 million as Broadway Cares’ lifetime grantmaking exceeds $300 million.
