Overview
- The team is scheduled to depart Newcastle Airport at 11:10am for a Newcastle flypast at 11:30am, return at 11:36am, then take off again at 1:34pm for a 1:45pm South Shields display.
- The route includes North East waypoints such as Powburn, Longhorsley, Ingram and Dinnington before the Tyne Bridge pass, then Lanchester and Follingsby on the way to the coast.
- After South Shields, the formation is expected to cross Yorkshire, passing Middlesbrough, Helmsley and Easingwold and cutting through central York around 2:10pm before arriving at RAF Waddington at about 2:32pm.
- Timings are subject to short‑notice change due to weather conditions or RAF operational requirements.
- About 60,000 runners are taking part in the half‑marathon from Newcastle to South Shields as the Red Arrows return after missing the 2024 event.
