Recycling Center Worker Dies in Tragic Accident

New Jersey Department of Labor investigates the death of a father of two at a recycling facility.

  • Hannold was attempting to move a dumpster with fellow workers when he climbed inside, unbeknownst to them, leading to his fatal accident.
  • The New Jersey Department of Labor, overseeing the Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health department, is investigating the incident.
  • Hannold had served as a supervisor of recycling operations for the Ocean County Department of Solid Waste Management for 22 years.
  • He is survived by his wife Jessica, his 21-year-old son Kaden, and his 7-year-old daughter, Abigail.
