Overview

  • The Rias federation recorded 8,627 antisemitic incidents in 2024, a 77% jump from the previous year.
  • Israel-related antisemitism made up 5,857 of the cases, more than twice the number reported in 2023.
  • Violent episodes included eight instances of extreme violence, 186 physical attacks and 443 acts of property damage along with 300 threats.
  • Antisemitic occurrences at educational institutions climbed sharply with 450 incidents at universities and 284 in schools during 2024.
  • Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and Antisemitism Commissioner Felix Klein have pledged intensified prevention, education and security measures nationwide.
