Overview

  • Russia launched over 420 drones and more than 20 missiles from airfields in Orel, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in one of its largest nocturnal assaults to date.
  • Ukraine’s air defenses downed or jammed 224 incoming drones and missiles while electronic warfare caused another 203 drones to disappear from radars.
  • The overnight attack killed two civilians and injured 15, including a 12-year-old child, and damaged Kyiv’s Lukianivska metro entrance, a kindergarten and multiple residential buildings.
  • Drones were also intercepted over six regions—including Sumy, Mykolaiv and Kherson—with additional damage reported in Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
  • NATO partners are finalizing a “50-day drive” to deliver new air defense systems and missiles as President Zelenskiy renews his offer of peace talks with Moscow this week.
