Record H1 Inflows Push French Life Insurance Assets Beyond €2 Trillion

Overview

  • French savers deposited a record €97.8 billion into life insurance products in the first half of 2025.
  • Net inflows reached €26.6 billion, marking the strongest first-half performance since 2010.
  • Unit-linked funds attracted €23.8 billion of new investments, compared with €2.9 billion for euro-denominated funds.
  • Total outstanding life insurance assets climbed to €2.052 trillion at the end of June, up from just over €2 trillion in January.
  • Livret A deposits grew by only €3 billion in H1 and its interest rate will fall from 2.4% to 1.7% on August 1.
