Minnesota's Zumwinkle Scores League's First Hat-Trick in Front of 13,316 Fans

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) game between Minnesota and Montreal set a new attendance record for professional women's ice hockey with 13,316 fans at Xcel Energy Center.
Minnesota's Grace Zumwinkle scored the first hat-trick in the PWHL, leading her team to a 3-0 victory over Montreal.
Maddie Rooney, also from Minnesota, earned the shutout, stopping all 24 Montreal shots on goal.
The previous attendance record, set just days earlier, was 8,318 fans at a game between Montreal and Ottawa.
The PWHL, which launched its inaugural season on New Year’s Day, is the latest attempt to create a sustainable business model around women's hockey.
