Record 43 Million Americans Expected to Travel Over Fourth of July Weekend

A record number of 43.2 million Americans are forecast to travel by car over the Fourth of July holiday weekend according to multiple reports.
Over 24 million people are anticipated to fly during the holiday period from June 29 to July 5.
The total number of Americans traveling at least 50 miles from home is expected to surpass 49 million, breaking the previous record set in 2019.
Rental car rates and gas prices are significantly lower than a year ago, contributing to the increase in road trips.
Major destinations will be New York City, Los Angeles, and Orlando, Florida, but Sunday, July 2 and Monday, July 3 are predicted to see the lightest travel by car.
