Record 33 Films Eligible for Best Animated Feature at 2024 Oscars

The Academy also announces 167 documentaries and 88 international films in contention, with shortlists to be revealed on December 21.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the list of eligible films for the 2024 Oscars in the categories of Best Animated Feature, Best Documentary Feature, and Best International Feature Film.
A record 33 films are eligible for the Best Animated Feature category, up from 27 in 2023.
167 documentaries and 88 international films are also in contention for their respective categories.
The shortlists of 15 films for both the Documentary and International Feature categories will be announced on December 21.
Final Oscar nominations will be announced on January 23, 2024, with the 96th Oscars set to air on March 10, 2024.
