Recent University of Illinois Graduates Attacked at Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, One Dead

Two American hikers who recently earned degrees in computer science from the University of Illinois were assaulted while hiking near Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
Eva Liu, 21, was thrown off a cliff by the attacker and later died from her injuries in the hospital.
Kelsey Chang, 22, survived being thrown off the cliff and was released from the hospital.
The attacker, a 30-year-old man from Michigan, was arrested nearby and is suspected of murder, attempted murder, and a sexual offense.
Neuschwanstein Castle is a popular tourist destination commissioned in the 19th century by King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
