- The affected product is 16‑ounce vacuum‑sealed grass‑fed ground beef with a use or freeze by date of 01/13/26 and establishment number EST 2083 on the side panel.
- Packages produced on Dec. 16 were shipped for retail distribution in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania and Washington.
- Routine FSIS sampling detected E. coli O26; the agency reports no confirmed illnesses to date and is conducting recall-effectiveness checks.
- Consumers are urged to discard or return the product and to cook ground beef to an internal 160°F; STEC O26 illness can develop weeks after exposure with diarrhea and vomiting, with higher risk for young children, older adults and immunocompromised people.
