Overview

  • On July 14, the BVL detected Listeria monocytogenes in batch 1 20250511 of Super Fruta Enoki mushrooms, prompting a recall by Go Asia Deutschland GmbH and Orient Master GmbH.
  • Consumers must not consume the 100-gram packs (barcode 6972005700213) and can return them to any Go Asia outlet for a full refund.
  • Listeria can survive refrigeration and may cause severe infections leading to blood poisoning or meningitis, especially in pregnant women, older adults and immunocompromised individuals.
  • The Verbraucherzentrale recommends cooking the mushrooms at no less than 70 °C for at least two minutes on all sides to eliminate the bacteria.
  • Symptoms of listeriosis—fever, diarrhea and flu-like signs—can appear up to three weeks after exposure, and at-risk consumers should seek medical advice immediately.
