Zack Snyder's latest film, 'Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire', has been released on Netflix. The film is set in a universe ruled by the oppressive Motherworld and its leader, the Regent Balisarius.
The film follows Kora, a former soldier-turned-fugitive who gathers fighters from across the galaxy to defend her new home of Veldt from an invasion by the Motherworld’s military, the Imperium.
The film ends with the Imperium recovering Admiral Noble, the main antagonist, and hooking his cyborg body to a device that restarts it. Noble then reveals that Kora, the most wanted fugitive in the known universe, is alive and living on Veldt.
Regent Balisarius orders Noble to bring Kora to him alive in the sequel, 'Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver', which is set to be released on Netflix on April 19, 2024.
Despite its visually impressive sets and costumes, the film has received mixed reviews, with some critics calling it a visionary slog and others praising its ambitious adventure and stunning visuals.
