Patti Davis, daughter of former President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan, reveals in her upcoming memoir that her mother's pregnancy was the reason her parents married.
According to Davis, Reagan had made a pact with his ex-wife, Jane Wyman, that he wouldn't remarry before she did, but broke this pact upon learning of Nancy's pregnancy.
Davis was born six months after Reagan and Nancy married in March 1952.
Davis also notes that Reagan continued to date actress Christine Larson during the first year of his marriage to Nancy, claiming he had been 'tricked' into the marriage.
The memoir, titled 'Dear Mom and Dad: A Letter About Family, Memory, and the America We Once Knew', is set to release on February 6.
