The Readyverse, a Multi-World, Multi-IP, Interoperable Open Metaverse Experience, Will Feature Licensed Digital Props from the Ready Player One Film
- Ready Player One author Ernest Cline and Futureverse Studios have partnered to launch the Readyverse, a multi-world, multi-IP, interoperable open metaverse experience for mass consumers.
- The Readyverse will feature licensed digital props and other intellectual property from the Ready Player One film through a deal with Warner Bros. Negotiations continue with other brands and Hollywood content studios for similar licensing deals.
- The Readyverse is not yet ready for occupancy, but an announcement is expected in a few weeks.
- The Readyverse will be enabled by a set of content-creation tools built by Futureverse over the past five years, including a 3-D prop creator and music and sound creation powered by a combination of proprietary and open-sourced generative artificial intelligence.
- As part of the deal with Warner Bros., Readyverse will have immersive rights to material in both of Cline’s books and any subsequent projects, as well as the movie and any subsequent spinoffs.
