Overview

  • Ostdeutsche Eisenbahngesellschaft announced full suspension of RE1 services between Brandenburg Hauptbahnhof and Potsdam Hauptbahnhof from June 6 to June 23 with replacement buses in operation.
  • Trains between Brandenburg Hauptbahnhof and Berlin-Friedrichstraße will be cancelled from June 14 to June 18, leaving Potsdam without RE1 service during that interval.
  • From June 23 to July 4, the section between Groß Kreutz and Brandenburg Hauptbahnhof will be closed, and the Potsdam–Groß Kreutz stretch will run only one train per hour in each direction.
  • The closures support track renewals and upgrades to control and safety technology as part of Deutsche Bahn’s broader rail modernisation programme.
  • Passengers are urged to plan for extra travel time and verify timetable updates before travelling to mitigate disruption.
