• Police say the Aug. 14 crash occurred just before 5 p.m. on Highway 1 near Spences Bridge in B.C.’s Interior.
• Both vehicles were engulfed in flames, and six people and two dogs were involved, according to the RCMP.
• A female occupant of the SUV and a male passenger in the pickup died from their injuries, police reported.
• The SUV’s driver and two passengers, along with the pickup’s driver, were treated at the scene and taken to hospital.
