RCMP Put Survival Odds Below 5% in Search for Missing 6-Year-Old Darius Macdougall

A week of exposure in rugged country prompted a tactical shift without scaling back the search.

Search-and-rescue crews have been looking day and night for Darius Macdougall, or any sign of is whereabouts, since the six-year-old boy was reported missing in the Crowsnest Pass last Sunday, Sept. 21.

  • Roughly 200 personnel from Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan remain deployed around the Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area near Crowsnest Pass.
