Overview

• Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP responded early Saturday to a vehicle fire on Tranquille-Criss Creek Road north of Kamloops.
• Human remains were discovered inside a burned black 2019 Volkswagen Golf at the scene.
• The B.C. RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation and treating the death as suspicious.
• Investigators believe the Volkswagen had been stolen prior to the fire.
• Staff Sgt. Jason Smart asked anyone with information or area video from the specified timeframe to contact the RCMP tip line.
