RCMP Investigates Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash at Bifrost Intersection

Overview

  • The collision occurred on July 21 shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 326 and Highway 329 in the Rural Municipality of Bifrost.
  • A southbound pickup truck struck a westbound sedan, and the 34-year-old Winnipeg woman driving the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The pickup’s driver, a 58-year-old man from Arborg, was treated on scene and released without physical injury.
  • His passenger, a 53-year-old woman from Arborg, was transported to hospital with minor non-life-threatening injuries.
  • Gimli RCMP and an RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist are gathering evidence and urging anyone with information to contact authorities.
