- Jordyn “Rylie” Dines, 16, was last seen at Calgary’s Chinook Centre mall on July 3 and found dead in an abandoned 2009 Toyota Camry near Glenwood, Alberta on July 4.
- Investigators have classified her death as suspicious and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the case from Cardston RCMP.
- An RCMP spokesperson said officers now have “some idea” of what caused Dines’s death but have not officially released the cause.
- Police are urging anyone who saw Dines after she left the mall to come forward with information to help piece together her final hours.
- Her mother, Jody Graves, has set up an online fundraiser to cover funeral and related expenses as the family awaits further answers.
