RBI Says Only Rs 5,817 Crore in Rs 2,000 Notes Remain in Circulation as of Oct. 31, 2025

  • The initial all-bank-branch return window closed on October 7, 2023, and returns now proceed through RBI issue offices or by sending notes via India Post for account credit.
