• Banks in Himachal Pradesh will be closed on October 10 for Karwa Chauth, while other states operate as usual.
• Broad Diwali‑period closures are scheduled across many states on October 20–23 for Deepavali, Naraka Chaturdashi, Kali Puja and related observances.
• All Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays are non‑working for banks nationwide, and some first or third Saturdays are holidays in select locations.
