  • Goa observes closures on December 3 (Feast of St. Francis Xavier) and December 19 (Goa Liberation Day), while Sikkim closes on December 20 and 22 for Losoong/Namsoong.
  • Meghalaya banks shut on December 12, 18 and 30, and Christmas-period closures span December 24–27 in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya, with December 25 a nationwide holiday.
  • The RBI lists 18 closure days in December including Sundays and second/fourth Saturdays; online banking, UPI, ATMs and NEFT/RTGS remain available as branches elsewhere operate normally on non-listed days.
