Overview

• On Monday, October 6, banks in Agartala and Kolkata are shut for Lakshmi Puja, according to the RBI list.
• On Tuesday, October 7, closures apply in Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh and Shimla for Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti and Kumar Purnima.
• On Friday, October 10, Shimla banks will be closed for Karva Chauth.
• All branches nationwide will be closed on October 11 for the second Saturday off and on October 12 for Sunday.
• October includes 21 official bank holidays across cities, so cheque clearing and other over-the-counter services pause on affected days while UPI, internet and mobile banking and ATMs continue to operate.
