RB Leipzig secured their place in the Champions League knockout stages with a 2-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade, thanks to goals from Xavi Simons and Lois Openda.
Simons scored the first goal for Leipzig after just eight minutes, marking his second Champions League strike against the Serbs in two games.
Despite several attempts by Red Star, Leipzig dominated the game with efforts from Openda who eventually scored the second goal for Leipzig in the 77th minute.
Red Star managed to pull one back in the 81st minute through Benjamin Henrichs' own goal, however it was not enough to level the game.
With this win, Leipzig remain second in Group G with nine points, just three points behind leaders Manchester City, while Red Star and Young Boys are on one point.
