Tampa Bay Rays star Wander Franco has been summoned by authorities in the Dominican Republic to answer allegations of inappropriate relationships with minors.
Franco's lawyers are required to attend a meeting on Thursday with the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Children and Adolescents in Santo Domingo.
At least two people have filed legal action against Franco, and authorities are investigating allegations from a third minor.
Franco was placed on administrative leave by MLB in August 2023, which is also investigating the allegations.
Franco's last game was on Aug. 12, 2023, and some speculate he may never play in the majors again.
