• LAPD says officers responded to an alleged battery call around 10:40 a.m. in Silver Lake, where Cruz was taken into custody via a private person’s arrest.
• Los Angeles County Sheriff’s records show he was booked on a misdemeanor at about 1:30 p.m. and released roughly two hours later, with a court appearance scheduled for Oct. 1.
• An LAPD officer told People that a dispute preceded the incident in which Cruz allegedly sprayed water toward the woman.
