Ravens Sign Dalvin Cook from Practice Squad Ahead of Playoff Clash

Dalvin Cook, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, has been signed from the practice squad by the Baltimore Ravens, ahead of their AFC playoff divisional clash against the Houston Texans.
Cook was released by the New York Jets, after a season where he had 67 rushing attempts for 214 yards and added 15 receptions for 78 yards over 15 games, but did not score a touchdown.
In a corresponding move, the Ravens reportedly waived veteran running back Melvin Gordon, who is likely to be signed to the practice squad.
Cook's signing is expected to provide depth to the Ravens' offense, which led the NFL in rushing in the regular season.
Despite Cook's lackluster performance with the Jets, the Ravens are hopeful that he will be able to contribute to their top-ranked running team.
