Ravens Interview Broncos DC Vance Joseph for Head-Coach Vacancy

Baltimore prioritized the Broncos' defensive architect to jump-start its search to replace John Harbaugh.

The Ravens said Thursday they completed an interview with Denver defensive coordinator Vance Joseph for their head-coach opening.
Joseph’s unit helped Denver earn the AFC’s No. 1 seed with a 14-3 record, ranking second in yards allowed, third in points allowed, and first in sacks with 68.
Under Joseph, Denver set back-to-back franchise sack records, and linebacker Nik Bonitto has produced 27.5 sacks over the past two seasons.
Joseph previously went 11-21 as the Broncos’ head coach in 2017–18, and he has since discussed emphasizing defense and line play over chasing a quarterback in a second opportunity.
Baltimore also interviewed Broncos quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Davis Webb on Thursday, and it plans additional meetings, including Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and a requested interview with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
