Overview
- The publisher Game Source Entertainment and developers Ratata Arts and TVT announced Thursday that Ratatan’s release has moved from July 16 to October 15, 2026.
- The delay applies to every planned version of the game, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and the PC Steam launch, while the Early Access build remains available on PC.
- The development team attributed the postponement to additional bug fixing and polish driven by player feedback from Steam Early Access and by platform-specific stability work, including on Switch 2 and multiplayer systems.
- As goodwill for the delay, anyone who has already pre-ordered Ratatan will receive the Digital Deluxe Edition DLC, which includes the Cobun Set (x8), an equipment and accessories bundle (special weapons x8 and accessories x1) and a supply set.
- Ratatan began as a Kickstarter project and has been iterated in Early Access, a development path that the producer said required extra adjustments after player responses and that the team hopes will result in a stronger launch.
