Rassemblement National Leads in Ardennes By-Election First Round

The by-election in the Ardennes' 1st constituency was triggered by the resignation of RN deputy Flavien Termet for health reasons.
Jordan Duflot, RN candidate and departmental youth delegate, emerged as the frontrunner with 39.12% of the vote.
Lionel Vuibert, a former deputy running as an independent, secured second place with 25.42%, qualifying for the runoff election on December 8.
Candidates from Les Républicains (16.04%) and the Nouveau Front Populaire (10.64%) were eliminated after failing to meet the required threshold.
Voter turnout was notably low, with only 30.5% of eligible voters participating in the election.
