Rare $15,000 Barbie Collection Stolen from Victorian Home

Police are investigating the theft of 150 collectible Barbie dolls, along with Elvis memorabilia, from a Tatura residence last month.

The stolen Barbie dolls, collected over 12 years, date from 1970 to 2017 and are considered highly rare and valuable.
The theft, which also included Elvis memorabilia and a Jack Daniel's esky, occurred between December 5 and 11 while the homeowners were on vacation.
The dolls were still in their original packaging and are estimated to be worth over $15,000, though deemed priceless by the owner.
Experts believe selling the dolls will be difficult due to the close-knit collector community, which is vigilant about identifying stolen or fake items.
Police are urging the public to report any suspicious online sales of rare dolls and have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
