Heather Morgan, also known as 'Razzlekhan,' was sentenced to 18 months for helping launder bitcoin stolen by her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, from the Bitfinex exchange in 2016.
Lichtenstein, who orchestrated the theft of nearly 120,000 bitcoin, was sentenced to five years in prison last week.
The stolen bitcoin, initially valued at $71 million, is now worth over $10 billion due to a surge in bitcoin prices.
Morgan and Lichtenstein laundered about 21% of the stolen bitcoin through complex methods, including using fictitious identities and cryptocurrency mixing services.
Both Morgan and Lichtenstein cooperated with authorities, leading to reduced sentences, and expressed remorse for their actions during the sentencing hearings.
