  • A successful trial of an electric locomotive at up to 90 km/h validated the section’s readiness for commercial electric services
  • The DibrugarhNew Delhi Rajdhani Express began end-to-end electric traction on June 25, with other prominent services scheduled to switch by early July
  • The shift to electric traction is expected to boost speed and reliability, reduce dependence on fossil fuels and support Indian Railways’ net-zero carbon vision
