Rangers Unveil 1926-Inspired Centennial Jersey With First-Ever Sponsor Patch

The yearlong celebration introduces selective game use with theme nights, a Miami Winter Classic, plus GAME 7 branding on retail jerseys.

Overview

  • The throwback sweater debuts as a near match to the 1926 design, featuring a lighter blue, all-white diagonal 'RANGERS' wordmark, a solid white collar, and vintage-white fabric.
  • A 100th-anniversary patch sits on the left shoulder, the inside collar notes the Nov. 16, 1926 first game, and a hem tag shows a red apple with “100.”
  • GAME 7, co-founded by Mark Messier, becomes the club’s first jersey sponsor with a right-shoulder patch, and its logo appears on jerseys sold at Madison Square Garden stores.
  • The team will wear the centennial jersey for the Oct. 8 opener against the Penguins plus nine additional dates, with eight games spotlighting franchise legends and milestones.
  • The centennial kit is one of five planned uniforms for 2025–26, with a separate Winter Classic look still to be revealed ahead of the Jan. 2, 2026 game vs. the Panthers at loanDepot Park in Miami.
